‘Courts, institutions free in Naya Pakistan’

PM Imran decides to appoint Fawad Chaudhry as his spokesperson

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has said that the courts and institutions are free in Naya Pakistan, claiming that a strong foundation has been laid for accountability in the country.
Talking to newsmen, Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhary says government has fulfilled the promise of laying the strong foundation of accountability in the country.
He said that former President Asif Ali Zardari, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz have been arrested on the orders of the independent judiciary.
He said these arrests have been made on merit and there is no element of political victimization in it, as the cases were not registered by the PTI government but by the PPP and the PML (N) against each other.
The Federal Minister said Imran Khan led government has only provided an enabling environment to the institutions to hold the corrupt elements accountable.
Meanwhile, Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan says courts and institutions are free in Naya Pakistan and no one is in above law.
The Special Assistant said National Accountability Bureau is an independent organization and government has nothing to do with it.
She said the arrest of influential people is endorsement of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s narrative of accountability across the board.
Lamenting the posture of opposition on the arrest of corrupt elements, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said they are oblivious to the problems of masses but are protecting their own vested interests.
