ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar Saturday rejected reports about withdrawal of the subsidy on wheat for Gilgit-Baltistan as baseless.
Addressing post-budget press conference here, he said that after finishing his speech in Senate, he was informed about reports about withdrawal subsidy on wheat for Gilgit-Baltistan. He said that a private TV channel had reported that subsidy on wheat for Gilgit-Baltistan has been withdrawn.
He rejected these reports and said that before reporting on sensitive issue, they should confirm from him. He said that subsidy on wheat would remain .
