PESHAWAR: The death toll from the yesterday’s suicide bombing in masjid of the Police Lines Peshawar reached to 92, said the health department.
According to the heath department, 126 people with miner inquires have been discharged from the hospitals while 58 people, eight of whom are in critical condition, are being treated in the hospitals.
Earlier Rescue 1122 officials had said that they retrieved 17 more bodies from the rubble during the night rescue operation.
According to rescue 1122, they were still removing the rubble after the mosque’s roof caved following the attack.
The deadly explosion took place at a time when worshippers had gathered in the mosque for the afternoon prayers. Witnesses and officials said that at least 200 people were inside the mosque at the time of blast.
The banned outlet TTP has claimed responsibility for the attack in a post on Twitter.
