Dengue claims one more life, death toll reaches 45 in KP

56 new dengue cases reported during 24 hours in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PESHAWAR: The death toll due to dengue fever on Friday risen to 45 after death of a 50-year old Maraja here at Khyber Teaching Hospital.
Maraja s/o Ishaq was resident of Nawa Kalley succumbed to dengue fever after four-day of hospitalization, said Dengue Response Unit of Health Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During the last 24 hour, around 1831 dengue tests were conducted out of which 428 were found dengue positive.
A total of 120 patients were admitted in various hospitals for treatment raising the total number of dengue patients presently getting treatment in different hospitals to 391.
About 117 patients were discharged during the last 24 hours from different hospitals after their condition was told stable.
