Govt, opposition committee fails to select chief election commissioner

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to move Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other intelligence agencies to probe the alleged horse-trading in recently held Senate elections.
A five-member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice Retd Sardar Mohammad Raza Khan resumed the hearing of the case today.
During the hearng, Imran Khan’s counsel assured the Commission of full assistance in the probe.
He added that buying and selling of vote was a crime and added that PTI would probe party leaders over horse-trading allegations.
Hearing of the case was adjourned until April-4.
