ECP issues codes of conducts for upcoming general elections

PESHAWAR: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued code of conduct for upcoming general elections across Pakistan, said a handout issued here Wednesday.
The ECP has categorically said that no violation of code of conduct related to publicity would be allowed and tolerated, adding that strict action would be taken against violators.
It said that ECP has issued measurements for posters and banners to be followed by political parties and candidates for publicity purpose. It said that display of irrelevant personalities on the banners and use of pan-flex and hoarding would be banned.
All political parties and candidates were advised to follow the ECP code of conduct, while ECP monitoring teams were directed to check on publicity material and in case of violation take strict legal action. – APP
