ECP accepts KP govt’s plea for delay in tribal districts’ elections

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Wednesday accepted the request of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for delaying elections in tribal districts for provincial assembly.
Polling on the sixteen seats of tribal districts will now be held on 20th July instead of 2nd July.
The Election Commission of Pakistan announced the change in schedule of polling.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had written a letter to ECP to delay the election in the merged tribal districts by twenty days over security fears.
