ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has stopped printing of ballot papers for NA-127 Lahore and NA-14 Mansehra after accountability court’s ruling in Avenfield properties reference.
According to media reports, the commission has directed the returning officers to prepare review form number 33 for further process.
It is to be mentioned here that ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz and his son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar were contesting the upcoming polls from NA-127 and NA-14 apiece.
However, they subsequently stood disqualified to contest the upcoming general elections after they handed down sentences in Avenfield properties reference.
