Ehtesab Commission court closed, 1100 cases transferred to anti-corruption dept

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has closed court of the Ehtesab Commission after closure of the Ehtesab Commission.
According to a report, all the cases have been transferred to anti-corruption special court. According to the report, about 28 references have been transferred to anti-corruption court. About 1100 cases have also been transferred to Anti-Corruption department for further investigation.
The PTI-led government has established Ehtesab Commission for elimination of corruption in the province in 2013. However, the government abolished the commission in 2018 by passing an act from the provincial assembly.
