LONDON: England thrashed Pakistan in the second test match of two-match series by an innings and 55 runs at Headingley and leveled the series 1-1.
The hosts were bowled out for 363 runs in the first innings with Faheem Ashraf standing atop after taking three wickets.
Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Abbas and Hasan Ali took 2 wickets each while Shadab Khan sent one batsman back to the pavilion.
It was Jos Buttler who helped his side reach the mammoth target with his blistering 80 not out off 101 balls.
Chasing the target, Pakistan were all dismissed for a meager 174 on Friday.
In its second innings, Pakistan were 3-84 but lost their last seven wickets for just 50 to be bowled out for 134.
Only Imam-ul-Haq (34) and Test debutant Usman Salahuddin (33) managed to put up some resistance, as the rest of the batting folded.
