KARACHI: Caretaker Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Ali Zafar has said that holding of transparent, peaceful and timely elections was prime responsibility of caretaker government.
Talking to media men in Karachi today (Saturday) after visiting the Mazar e Quaid, he urged media to create awareness among people in this regard.
To a question, he said formulation of electoral code of conduct was prerogative of election commission and caretaker government is bound to ensure its implementation.
He said similarly PEMRA was autonomous in its decisions; however, government could only facilitate it in implementing its decision.
Barrister Ali Zafar laid floral wreath on Mazar of founder of the nation, offered Fateha and inaugurated water treatment plant in the premises of Mazar.
