PESHAWAR: Interim chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Azam Khan has said that conducting fair and transparent elections is his first priority and the caretaker government would facilitated the Election Commission of Pakistan in this regard.
The interim chief minister was talking to provincial cabinet members at Chief Minister House here on Saturday. The interim chief minister spoke about maters related the upcoming elections in the province. He said that the caretaker government was aware about its constitutional responsibilities regarding fair and transparent elections.
Azam Khan said that efforts were being made for resolving the financial problems of the province, adding that all issues of the province will be taken up with the federal government. He said that every efforts would be made for developments funds of the tribal districts and getting constitutional and legal rights of the province. He hoped that the federal government especially the prime minister would cooperate in this regard.
