Fawad Alam should be included in second Test: Wasim Akram
ISLAMABAD: Legendary bowler Wasim Akram is of the view that Pakistan should include Fawad Alam in the middle order in the upcoming Test against England starting on August 13.
Waseem Akram further said that, If I were captain, I would include Fawad Alam in the upcoming match.
Pakistan have already lost the first Test match. The Sultan of Swing put the onus of the defeat on both the batsmen and the bowlers. “He firmly thinks that we committed many mistakes which very mainly tactical while bowling in the second innings,”.
He said: “Two senior batsmen Azhar Ali and Asad Shafique didn’t perform with the bat. The team’s morale goes down if your senior players don’t perform.”
He further elaborated his point by pointing out the performance of senior batsmen Azhar Ali and Asad Shafique. They did not perform according to the expectations. This has a direct impact on other team members.
Azhar Ali faced the wrath on social media due to his below par performance.
Legendary bowler Wasim Akram also criticized on body language of Azhar Ali. He needs to improve his body language as well. Wasim said.
Talking about his captaincy chances in further he said that, it will all depend on his current performances.
If he does not perform in the current series the Pakistan Cricket Board will definitely look for the other options.
