PESHAWAR: Federal Ombudsman for Protection of Women against Harassment at Workplace has set up regional offices at Peshawar and Karachi to facilitate the complainants.
The inaugural ceremony of the regional offices was held in Islamabad on Monday.
Addressing the ceremony, Federal Ombudsperson for Protection of Women against Harassment at Workplace Justice Retired Yasmin Abbassi said the regional offices will ease complainants during the course of filing, adjudication and hearing of their cases.
She briefed the audience that it is obligatory for all state departments to establish a three member Committee within the department with at least one woman as its member.
She said the complaints received have to be addressed within a period of sixty days.
