Fencing of 802 kilometer of Pak-Afghan border completed: DG ISPR

DG ISPR dismisses Hasil Bizenjo's remarks as 'unfounded'

RAWALPINDI: Director General ISPR, Major General Asif Ghafoor has said that fencing of 802 kilometers of Pak-Afghan border has been completed.
In a tweet, the DG ISPR said that work on forts and fencing on Pak-Afghan border continued. He said that the total length of Pak-Afghan border is 2611 kilometers. He said that the fencing of 802 kilometer of 1200 kilometers priority areas has been completed. He said that 233 out of planned 843 forts had also been constructed.
The DG ISPR said that the border fencing and construction of forts would be completed by December 2019, which would benefit the peaceful people of Pakistan and Afghanistan and restrict terrorists movement.
“Work on forts & fence continues on Pak-Afg Bdr. Total length 2611 KM. Work on 233 of 843 forts & 802 of 1200 KM pri 1 areas completed.Aiming speedy completion in pri 1 areas,overall completion by Dec 2019 IA.Shall benefit peaceful people of Pak & Afg while restricting terrorists.”
