SHANGLA: At least five people were killed and 13 others sustained injuries when a double-cabin pickup plunged into a deep ravine in Sharono area of Shangla, local police informed.
The Alpuri police said the pickup was travelling from Mingora to Amnori area of Shangla went out of driver’s control at Sharono hill and fell into a ravine on Tuesday night. Five people died on the spot and 13 others were injured in the accident. Locals and police rushed to the spot to rescue survivors and to pull out the dead bodies. The injured were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Alpuri.
Some of the injured were taken to Saidu Sharif Hospital due to their critical condition.
