MARDAN: At least five people including four seminary students were killed and 15 others wounded in a road accident when a passenger van careened off into a truck parked by roadside in Mardan on Wednesday.
According to details the ill-fated passenger van was on way from Rawalpindi to Bajaur when it went out of control owing to fast speed and rainfall, and sped into a standstill truck.
Five passengers died on the spot and 15 others sustained injuries. Bodies and the wounded have been shifted to Mardan Medical Complex.
According to hospital administration, several people are in critical state. All the deceased belong to Bajaur Agency.
