Five protesters injured by police firing in Hangu

HANGU: At least five persons were injured when police opened firing into air to disperse protesters here on Wednesday.
According to reports, the residents of Khattak Banda were protesting against gas loadshedding in the areas. When the protesters refused to disperse peacefully, the police opened firing into air to disperse the protesters.
According to reports, five protesters including a district councilor were injured in the firing. However, police claimed that policeman was also injured in the firing by protesters. The injured were shifted to district headquarters hospital.
According to DSP Omar Hayat, the FC had been called in to control the situation in the area.
