FM Qureshi leaves for Kyrgyzstan to attend SCO meeting

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi left for Germany on Thursday to participate in Munich conference being held to review security situation in Afghanistan.
Talking to newsmen before leaving for Germany, he said that he would attend Munich conference. He said that he and Afghan president Ashraf Ghani would co-chair a session of the conference. He said that Ghani would present Afghanistan’s view while he would present Pakistan’s point of view on situation in Afghanistan.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, the Minister said that he will hold meetings with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and other world leaders to bring peace in the war-torn country.
He said he will meet his counterparts of various countries, including Russia, Germany, Uzbekistan and Canada and will also interact with key US congressmen and members of the Senate.
He said at the Munich conference he will present Pakistan’s stance on Afghanistan.
