LANDIKOTAL: The Khasadar force on Thursday foiled an attempt to smuggle gold from Pakistan to Afghanistan and arrested an Afghan national at Torkham border.
Talking to reporters, Shams-ul- Islam, naib tehsildar Torkham, said that the Khasadar troops during routine checking stoped an Afghanistan returned empty truck for examination near Torkham border. During inspection, they found 12kg gold concealed in tools box of the truck.
Shams-ul-Islam said that the arrested truck driver was sent to jail for further interrogation.
