Government reduces prices of petrol, diesel

Petrol price likely to increase by Rs9 before Eid-ul-Fitr

ISLAMABAD: The finance ministry has reshuffled the prices of petroleum prices with a reduction of Rs. 2.07 in the price of petrol per litre.
According to a notification of the ministry, the new price of petrol stands at Rs. 86 per litre.
The price of diesel has been reduced by Rs. 2 after which, it will be sold at Rs. 96. 45 per litre, the notification added.
It further said that no changes have been made in the prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil.
Kerosene oil and light diesel oil will be available at Rs. 76.46 and Rs. 65.30 per litre respectively.
Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had sent a summary to the government recommending decrease in the prices of petroleum prices.
