Govt trying to maintain balance between lockdown, hunger and economy: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday presided over a meeting of the party’s core committee and decided to form a committee for dialogues with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
According to reports, the committee headed by Defense Minister Pervaiz Khattak will hold dialogues with Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
The PTI’s core committee also decided hold local bodies elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The meeting was attended by Interior Minister Brigadier retired Ijaz Ahmed Shah, Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, and other senior officers.
During the meeting, matters pertaining to country’s political, economic situation and rising inflation came under discussion.
The prime minister took the participants in confidence over his recent visits to Saudi Arabia, Iran and China.
The meeting also discussed matters relating to dissolution of party’s provincial bodies.
