ISLAMABAD: The federal government Thursday appointed a new secretary finance after Muhammad Younus Dagha reportedly developed differences with finance adviser over IMF deal few days ago.
According to a notification issued by Establishment Division, Mohammad Younus Dagha was removed as the secretary finance.
He was replaced by Naveed Kamran Baloch, who was working as Cabinet Division Secretary.
Dagha took charge as finance secretary in March after the post fell vacant following the retirement of incumbent Arif Ahmed Khan.
Dagha’s removal from the post comes a day after Board of Investment (BoI) chairman Haroon Sharif, who was appointed eight months ago, tendered his resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
