ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in senate and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) veteran Aitzaz Ahsan on Tuesday slammed PML-N government of creating hurdles in holding across the board accountability and said that the government is afraid of accountability of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and trying to evade accountability.
During senate standing committee on law and justice, senator Aitzaz Ahsan and federal minister for law and justice Zahid Hamid exchange harsh words over amendments in opposition bill for Panama Leaks investigation.
Aitzaz Ahsan accuses government of creating hurdles in the way of holding across the board accountability and said that government is not sincere in holding accountability. He said that the government is using delaying tactics to stall the investigation on panama leaks issue. He siad that Prime Minister has been saying that i am ready for any kind of accountability while at the same time he is unwilling to agree to opposition’s TOR’.
