No political motive behind PTI chief’s arrest: Info minister

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Marriyum Aurangzeb, has stated that political stability in the country will be ensured by the government, and it is determined to complete the IMF programme.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that after the end of political instability, the government has initiated measures to end economic instability in the country. The coalition government is making efforts to establish both political and economic stability, she said.
She further stated that once the youth has a degree in their hands, the letter of employment will come through the Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the coalition government.
Marriyum Aurangzeb held the PTI government responsible for the inflation in country, while the strict conditions and delays in the IMF accord were also due to the previous rulers because they broke the agreement to save their politics and caused irreparable damage to the country. However, she added, the current government was determined to fulfill the IMF program. She said that prices of petroleum products and LPG have been reduced while the prices of cooking oil and ghee were also reduced. She said that the government would provide more relief to the public in upcoming budget.
She said, “the former government planted explosive landmines for the economy. Whenever the economy improved, these people started attacking the country. Audio recordings related to the IMF are also in front of everyone.”
The Information Minister further stated that the government’s top priority is economic stability because it is linked to political stability.
