Nineteen people have been reportedly injured after unidentified assailants opened fire on the police force in Tank.

According to reports, unidentified attackers first hurled a hand grenade at a police vehicle and then opened fire on them on Bannu Road in Tank city in Dera Ismail Khan.

As a result of the firing, 19 people have been injured, according to the police.

The security forces have besieged the area and are engaged in an exchange of fire with the suspects.
