ISLAMABAD: The accountability court has adjourned hearing of Avenfield Reference filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against the Sharif family until 19 June.
The accountability court Judge Mohammad Bashir was all set to preside over the proceedings where Maryam Nawaz’s lawyer was scheduled to present his final arguments.
However, her lawyer failed to appear before the court due to which hearing of the reference was adjourned until June 19.
Meanwhile, Jahangir Jadoon appeared before the accountability court and submitted the power of attorney on behalf of Nawaz Sharif.
He will now be representing Nawaz Sharif in NAB references in accountability court.
Earlier today, Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz left for London to inquire after the health of Kulsoom Nawaz, who is receiving cancer treatment.
Both were awarded exemption from personal appearance today in the case.
