LAHORE: Justice Mahmood Maqbool Bajwa of Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday while recommending to place model Ayyan Ali’s bail plea for hearing before Justice Abdul Sami returned the case file to Chief Justice LHC.
Ayyan’s lawyer Sardar Latif Khosa has adopted the stance in his plea that the money-laundering case registered against his client is false and baseless as the model is being subject to political action and victimized.
The defense lawyer also stated that the investigation has not been completed yet whereas the money laundering provisions are unfounded, therefore; the court should issue release orders of the model.
Justice Mahmood Maqbool Bajwa recommended to set the bail plea’s hearing before Justice Abdul Sami and returned the case file to CJ LHC.
The hearing of the case will be conducted by an appellate bench headed by Justice Abdul Sami.
