IHC accepts contempt of court plea against ousted Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has on Monday accepted contempt of court plea for hearing against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
Islamabad High Court (IHC) judge Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani heard the case and set October 01 date for hearing.
The petition contended that Nawaz Sharif committed during his speech in Lahore on August 25.
The petition further claims that Sharif spoke of the judiciary’s link with power, which falls under the contempt of court law.
