IHC directs Imran Khan to appear before trial court on March 13

ATC extends Imran Khan interim bail

ISLAMBAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Tuesday suspended the non-bailable arrest warrant of the PTI chairman Imran Khan and directed him to appear before the trial court in Toshakhana case on March 13.
Chief Justice Amir Farooq announced the reserved verdict on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s petition against the non-bailable arrest warrants issued for him in the Toshakhana case.
The court directed the PTI chairman to appear before the additional session judge in Toshakhana case, otherwise the process for declaring him proclaimed offender would be started.
Imran had moved the IHC to suspend his warrants issued by a sessions court for not appearing before the court. The Imran Khan’s lawyer had requested the high court to suspend the warrants for four weeks. However, the Islamabad high court rejected the plea of Imran Khan and directed him to appear before the trial court on March 13
