Clubbing references, Nawaz's plea rejected

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday admitted for hearing a petition seeking to put names of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his children on the Exit Control List (ECL).
The petition, filed by Abdul Wahid on Wednesday, stated that Nawaz Sharif, his children, son-in-law Captain Safdar and Ishaq Dar be barred from travelling out of the country due to the ongoing investigation into Panama Papers case.
The petitioner stated that Sharif family members were found involved in corruption and money laundering through Supreme Court judgment; therefore, necessary steps should be taken to ban their travel abroad.
The court overruled objections on the petition today and admitted it for hearing on Monday.
