ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday ordered Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s close friend Syed Zulfikar Bukhari aka Zulfi Bukhari to cooperate with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in probe against him.
The court was hearing two petitions: one filed by Zulfi Bukhari seeking removal of his name from the blacklist while the and the other filed by a petitioner challenging Zulfi Bukhari’s name removal from the blacklist which allowed him to leave the country for Umrah.
During the hearing, Justice Aamer Farooq asked on whose orders did the Interior Ministry remove Zulfi Bukhari’s name from the blacklist.
Meanwhile, a NAB prosecutor informed the court that Zulfi Bukhari failed to appear before the accountability body despite being issued notices.
Upon this, the court ordered Zulfi Bukhari to cooperate with NAB.
