IHC rejects Imran Khan’s plea for suspension of arrest warrant

ISLAMBAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected Imran Khan’s petition for suspension of the arrest warrant in the Toshakhana case and directed him to submit undertaking in the trial court.
Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Amir Farooq announced the reserved verdict, in which had directed the trial court to take decision about Imran Khan’s undertaking as per the law.
The court said that Imran Khan should file his request for suspension of the arrest warrant in the trial court, and the trial court should examine the undertaking according to the law.
Earlier today, Imran Khan’s lawyer Khawaja Haris suddenly appeared on the roster when the hearing of another case ended before the hearing. The Chief Justice said that his application has not been fixed yet, and the court will see when it is fixed. The chief justice remarked that this court had given you relief earlier, but what happened to it? “The court orders were not implemented, and we will see what the consequences of this will be.”
