Imran Khan appears before JIT

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan appeared before the four-member Joint Investigation Team (JIT) at the SSP Islamabad office amid tight security in a case related to threats to the female judge Zeba Chaudhary.

The JIT of Islamabad Police is headed by SSP (Operations) Islamabad Farhat Abbas Kazmi questioned  PIT chief for 20 minutes and handed him a questionnaire carrying 21 questions.

Talking to reporters after appearing before the JIT, former prime minister reiterated his demand for free and fair elections.

An FIR under Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) was registered against Khan after he threatened an Islamabad woman judge and senior police officials addressing a public rally last month.

The Islamabad High Court had ordered Imran Khan to join the probe against him.

The police serviced two notices on the former prime minister who failed to show up.

However, on Wednesday Imran Khan arrived at the SSP Investigation office.
