Imran Khan inaugurate work on 84MW hydel power project in Kalam

KALAM: Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Friday said that his party’s government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa working on energy sector to provide electricity to those areas where there was no access before.
Addressing people after inaugural ceremony of 84MW hydel power project in Kalam, Khan said, at least 150 micro hydel projects are already complete and by the end of next year it will be at 350.
He said that after completion of these projects, it will change the lives of over 10 lakh people.
Criticizing coal Power projects by federal and provincial government in Punjab, Khan said that these coal power projects destroying the environment as can be seen from the smog that descended on Lahore. He said that these micro hydel power projects will produce cheap electricity and will benefit industries and keep your environment clean.
He said that his party will rid the nation of major corruption within ninety days if his party came into power. “We have to catch big criminals and put them in jail,” said Khan adding chairman of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) should be in jail for not catching Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on 13 cases of alleged corruption.
All these politicians who were nothing in the past are billionaires today, he claimed, adding that this is a system of injustice which destroys great nations and this is the biggest challenge.
“We are waiting on the courts to give their decision but in the courts of the public the people have spoken,” Khan remarked.
