Imran Khan, others congratulate Younis Khan on 10000 Test runs


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has on Monday congratulated legendary batsman Younis Khan on becoming the first player in Pakistan’s history to score 10,000 Test runs.
According to details, Younis Khan completed this milestone on day three of first Test match against West Indies at the Sabina Park, Kingston.
PTI chief said Younis Khan’s courage, determination and ability to score against quality bowling in difficult conditions has led to this achievement.
Many other public figures including cricketers, politicians and media persons also took to Twitter and expressed felicitations to the veteran Younis Khan.
Star all-rounder Shahid Afridi congratulated Younis Khan on his incredible achievement and hoped for an amazing farewell series for him. He asked Younis to pile up the runs in his last international appearance.
In a video message, former crickets Rashid Latif and Muhammad Wasim congratulated Younis Khan on achieving this feat. Rashid Latif wished Younis Khan a successful life after retirement. The former wicketkeeper, in a lighter mood, demanded Younis Khan to host a party after this accomplishment. He also proposed the idea to go fishing together at Mangla Dam when Younis returns.
Muhammad Wasim congratulated Younis Khan on scoring 10,000 Test runs and said the whole nation is wishing Younis at the moment. Wasim said that Younis Khan will be given a heroic welcome in Pakistan, and intended to visit Younis in Mardan after he comes back.
Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi saluted Younis Khan for his services and said he is the real hero. Zalmi team and cricket fans are proud of you for giving us 17 years of Test cricket, 6000 plus days and 600 runs per year, said Javed Afridi.
