Imran Khan vows to strengthen institutions after coming to power

Masses to vote PTI for rule of law in country: Imran

MIANWALI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said on Sunday that after coming to power after the general elections 2018 he will strengthen the state institutions including the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
Imran, who is vying to contest the July 25 polls from four constituencies, including Mianwali’s NA-95, addressed the party rally at the Hockey Ground.
Citing plummeting economic indicators, Khan apprised attendants that dollar had surged to Rs125 whereas country’s debt burden had augmented to Rs27000 bln.
Imran Khan made it overtly clear to party members that tickets for contesting general elections 2018 were awarded purely on merit. He said that his party is Pakistan’s biggest political party. “Tickets were solely issued on merit. I did not award tickets to siblings. Almost 4500 people applied for PTI’s ticket. I seek forgiveness from those who have been deprived of tickets. ”, Khan told attendants.
Taking jibe at main political foe Nawaz Sharif, Khan warned Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) supremo that PTI was leaving no stone unturned to put him in Adiala Jail.
Sensing victory in much-anticipated general polls 2018, Khan stated that country’s future was about to change in four weeks.
“When people used to make fun of the PTI, the people of Mianwali stood with me,” said Imran.
On the issues of party tickets, Imran said that he faced immense pressure on the matter as’ everyone was asking for tickets’.
“All my relatives from Mianwali were asking for tickets… Nawaz and Zardari distributed tickets among relatives,” said the PTI chief.
He said that the PTI tickets for the General Elections 2018 were given on the basis of merit.
