COLOMBO: India Monday set a massive target of 357 runs for Pakistan in the high-voltage match of the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup in Colombo.
Due to rain in Colombo on Sunday, the match, which was originally scheduled for Sunday, had to be delayed and resumed on Monday. The Indian team began their batting innings with a loss of two wickets for 147 runs in 24.1 overs. Pakistani bowlers couldn’t take any wickets on the day. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul played outstanding centuries.
Before the Pakistan and India teams arrived at the stadium, rain had started, but it stopped after a few hours, and no overs were reduced during the match.
Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf did not take the field for the reserve day against India because he had suffered a side strain.
