LAHORE: Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has termed Indian Army Chief’s statement about Pakistan as irresponsible adding that the statement reflected India as in irresponsible country.
Talking to newsmen in Lahore on Sunday, the minister said that Indian Army Chief and United States (US) President Donald Trump were aimed at bringing Pakistan under pressure.
He advised that the prevailing situation required the nation to remain united.
Ahsan Iqbal added that those elements trying to harm democracy in the country would not succeed.
There was no reason for any sit-ins or protest demonstrations when the country was just five months away from general elections, he said.
The Minister said the government had broken the back of terrorists, eliminated electricity load-shedding and restored law and order across the country.
To a question about the Kasur incident, the Interior Minister said the entire nation was sad over the incident and assured to bring the culprit to the book.
