Inzamam to step down as chief selector after July 30

LAHORE: Chief selector Inzamamul Haq Wednesday announced that after completing his term on July 30, he would say goodbye to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Addressing a press conference here, he said that he would step down after completing his term as chief selector. After returning from the UK, he said, “I informed the PCB that I do not want to continue and the new people with new ideas should come.” He thanked the PCB and the team for their cooperation and said that he had spent good time since 2016.
To a question about future, he said that being cricketer, he could consider any role, except selection, the PCB offers him. However, h added, there no offer from PCB as yet.
He expressed satisfaction over the performance of the national team in World Cup, saying that Pakistan had defeated the two finalists, won four matches.
