Jam Kamal Khan elected as new chief minister of Balochistan

CM Balochistan directs LEAs to strengthened security

QUETTA: Jam Kamal Khan of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) has been elected as the new chief minister Balochistan on Saturday.
Balochistan Assembly Speaker Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo was chairing the session of the provincial assembly.
According to reports, Jam Kamal received 39 votes while his rival candidate of MMA Yunas Aziz Zehri got 20 votes.
The BAP president has the support of allied parties while Zehri was been nominated by MMA and BNP Mengal.
The new chief minister would take oath of his office at Governor House in Quetta at 5pm on Sunday.
