JIT meets to begin probing Sharif’s family in Panama Leaks case

Accountability resumes hearing of references against Sharif family

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of Joint Investigation Team (JIT), which was constituted by Supreme Court (SC) to probe the money trail of Sharif family in Panama Leaks case, is underway in Islamabad.
According to media reports, Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Additional Director-General Wajid Zia is presiding over the meeting to discuss working procedure of JIT in Panama Leaks case.
Reports suggest that JIT would take assistance of experts from FIA and other private departments to ensure fair investigation whereas it would comprehensively review court’s decisions and available documents.
The concerned ministries would also be contacted for the authenticity of the foreign records.
