Joint session of parliament begins for president’s speech

ISLAMABAD: Joint session of the parliament has started on Monday, which would be addressed by the President Arif Alvi to begin new parliamentary year.
Prime Minister Imran Khan, opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and members of the national assembly and Senate are present in the session.
Chief Ministers, prime minister Azad Kashmir, chairman joint chiefs of staff committee, air and navy chiefs are also present in the guest gallery.
On the request of the speaker Asad Qaiser, minister for religious affairs Noorul Haq Qadri offered dua for the departed soul of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
