Journalist among four shot dead in Charsadda

SHO killed during raid on drug dealers’ den in Bannu

CHARSADDA: Senior journalist Ehsan Sherpao, along with three others, was shot dead on Tuesday after a scuffle at a jirga meeting in Charsadda.
The jirga meeting was being presided by Sherpao. One person was also injured in the incident.
The suspect, Syed Jamal, was also attending the jirga meeting to settle the family dispute. Jamal fled after opening fire at the attendees of the meeting.
According to District Police Officer (DPO) Charsadda Irfanullah, Ehsan’s killer was a drug addict and had previously killed his wife and killed his mother, his sister in law, his nephew and Ehsan, who was his cousin, today.
