ISLAMABAD: The accountability court’s Judge Mohammad Bashir has rescued himself from hearing the remaining corruption references of National Accountability Bureau against former premier Nawaz Sharif and his family.
According to media reports, the accountability court Judge has written a letter to Islamabad High Court (IHC) rescuing himself from hearing Al-Azizia and Flagship references against Nawaz Sharif and his family.
Judge Bashir has requested for transfer of cases to another court and stated he could be transferred if deemed fit.
The accountability court Judge also stated that he had already given his verdict in Avenfield properties case and could not hear Al-Azizia and Flagship references.
In his letter, Judge Mohammad Bashir noted that Nawaz’s counsel had also objected to him hearing the other two cases.
