Justice Mansoor Ali Shah takes oath as SC judge

ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: Justice Mansoor Ali Shah took oath as judge of the Supreme Court (SC) during ceremony held here in the apex court’s building on Wednesday.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar administered the oath to Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.
The ceremony was attended by the judges, their families, senior lawyers, the attorney general and advocate generals.
After the appointment of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah as the Supreme Court judge, the number of apex court’s judges has reached to 17.
Prior to his appointment as Supreme Court judge, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah served as Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC).
Meanwhile, Muhammad Yawar Ali has taken oath as Chief Justice LHC during a ceremony in governor house.
Governor Punjab Malik Rafeeq Rajwana administered the oath in the ceremony which was also attended by Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Speaker Punjab Assembly, provincial ministers, judges, their families, senior lawyers and other important personalities.
