CJP Saqib Nisar returns home after completing Dam fund drive in UK

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court’s Chief Justice designate Mian Saqib Nisar will take oath on Saturday (tomorrow).
Justice Mian Saqib Nisar will be the 25th head of the Supreme Court with effect from Dec 31 as the incumbent CJP Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali will retire on December 30 after serving for 15 months.
The oath taking ceremony will be held at Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Meanwhile Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel took oath as judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan today (Friday).
Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali administered the oath to him at a ceremony in Islamabad.
The ceremony was attended by judges of apex court, Attorney General of Pakistan, Advocate General, senior lawyers and officers of Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan and Federal Judicial Academy. …APP
