Will engage in politics over govt's failed economic policies: Khursheed

ISLAMABAD: Former opposition leader in National Assembly and PPP’s MNA Syed Khursheed Shah Tuesday termed NAB’s investigation against him as politically motivated cases.
The NAB has started investigation into charges of owning assets beyond his means of income.
Talking to newsmen here, the PPP leader alleged, “The issue as simple as this…when you speak, cases are formed.” He invited the government to investigate the corruption charges against him.
“If there is an inquiry against me then let the Parliament take it up. If there was a case against me why wasn’t an investigation launched since I was the leader of the opposition,” the politician observed.
He criticised what he called running fake news against him. “It is inappropriate to insult me by getting the media to run fake news pertaining to my cases,” Shah said.
He claimed that he had saved billions of rupees of the national exchequer while heading the Public Account Committee.
