ISLAMABAD: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Wednesday visited the office of the AVT Channels Network in Islamabad where he was briefed about the activities of the Khyber News TV, Kay2 TV, AVT Khyber TV, daily Akhbar-e-Khyber and daily Kay2 Times.Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan visits AVT Channels office
Upon his arrival, the Chief Minister was warmly received by senior officers of the AVT Channels Network. During his visit, CM Mahmood Khan visited various departments and sections of the AVT Channels Network and received briefing on the functioning of each department and section. He also met workers of the AVT Channels Network.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister lauded the services of Khyber News, AVT Khyber and Kay2 TV for the country especially for the Pashtoon community. He acknowledged that Khyber News TV has proved itself as the only voice of the marginalized and deprived segments of the society. Furthermore, he said that Khyber News has to work more responsibility owing to the ongoing regional situation. He also lauded the services of Khyber News and Kay2 TV for creating awareness among parents against poliovirus and eliminating the crippling disease from the country.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also revealed that the construction of Rashakai Industrial Zone has been approved. He said that the mega project would provide employment opportunities to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
