PESHAWAR: The federal government has changed the Inspector General of Police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and appointed Grade 21 officer Akhtar Hayat as the new IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Akhtar Hayat would replace Moazzam Jah Ansari.
A notification issued by Establishment Division, states that Akhtar Hayat, who is presently serving in FIA under Interior Division, has been transferred and posted as provincial police office, government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with immediate effect and until further order.
The Establishment Division had received the summary with three names including Akthar Hayat Khan, Mohammad Saeed Khan and Sohail Tajik for appointment of the new IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa./
